When we have our astrology chart read, some things about our life journey can suddenly make sense. It helps us understand why we are the way we are. Eastern astrology differs in important ways from western astrology, it relies heavily on the lunisolar (moon and sun) calendar. Can we change our destiny?

This map or blueprint itself cannot be changed, it is what we were born with, however, if we understand our chart and take appropriate action then we will be doing the right thing at the right time. When we do this we are better able to overcome obstacles during challenging times and better able to grasp opportunities during favourable times.

The fundamental tenet is that everything in the universe is a manifestation of the configuration of the 5 elements. 

The 5 elements manifest themselves in all phenomena, physical and non-physical. It is through this understanding that we can (begin to) understand the universe and its manifestation. We are under the influence of this natural order and Astrology therefore can map the cycle of elements that we come into and therefore assess understand and harmonise with the impact and it can be applied to ourselves for greater understanding and balance.

The 5 elements don’t manifest themselves equally in a Four Pillars chart. There are usually elements that dominate, some that are weaker, and some that may be missing. This is what gives each chart and hence each person their unique quality and characteristics. They occur in infinite configurations and relationships with each other, however, the understanding of the dynamics of elements and how they manifest, and how we work them individually, is what is the underlying theory of Astrology and therefore what makes it interesting and engaging. In some ways, it then leads to infinite discovery and unfoldment of the understanding of a personal chart, its rhythms and impulses.
