Introduction to Geomancy

Geomancy literally means ‘divining the earth’, and through earth divination or dowsing we can communicate with our environment on a truly profound level. The earth is alive in an energetic and geomantic sense, with this understanding we can begin to comprehend the impact that any imbalance in the landscape can have upon it inhabitants. A geomancer will identify and locate geopathic stresses on a site, and then determine whether they need to be remedied. All of this is usually done using dowsing.

The earth healing carried out by geomancers is often referred to as earth acupuncture, as some remedies are used in a similar way to acupuncture in the body, where needles of wood or crystal are placed along points of the energy meridians to stimulate healing.

Geomancy is a Western tradition that helps us gain insight into our environment and has much in common with Chinese Feng Shui. As acknowledged by quantum physics, all things vibrate, these vibrations occur at a unique frequency and interact with the vibrations of other people and objects in a way that either resonates or is inharmonious. While this can go some way to explaining ‘chemistry’ between people, it can also help to explain why certain areas have a particular feel about them and why this varies from person to person. Geomancy helps to harmonise the frequencies of people and their environment.

Apart from physical stresses that can be present at a site, geomancy also looks at the impact of indigenous cultures and there notion of sacred sites, the impact of past events and experiences that occurred on a site are stored within the landscape. The focal point of my consultations are to locate and remedy geopathic stresses that are present in your immediate environment. These include: Geological faults, Geomagnetic lines, Water courses, Ley lines, Mobile personal lines, Nexus points, Negative psychic impressions, Hartman and curry grids.

The Benefits of Geomancy

Geomancers seek to find compatibility between the subtle energies of a place and those who live there. Central to geomancy is the notion that we have a close connection with the environment, particularly the subtle environment, in which we live or work. This relationship if unbalanced can impact on our physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual lives, reaching beyond the more immediately obvious physical connections. A large part of geomancy involves locating different stresses and energy meridians in the landscape, and remedying or harmonising those determined detrimental and in need of healing. These meridians are channels of earth energy that act in the same way as meridians in the human body. Through remedying these Geopathic stresses we can bring balance to the land, site and occupants and hopefully eliminate many other factors that come along with being exposed to geopathic stresses.

Addressing the geopathic stress problem in your environment is not only beneficial for humans but also for our domestic pets, livestock and plant life.

There are so many health problems that can arise from being exposed to geopathic stress, these can range from cancer, insomnia, irritability, depression, migraines, short term memory loss, chronic illness, miscarriages and much more. By applying remedies to heal the geopathic stresses, this enables your family to live a more balanced and harmonious life and most importantly improving your family and pets health.

Geomancers also very often collaborate with planners, builders and architects in the design of buildings and developments. They also provide services in situations where the earth requires healing from traumatic events or lack of fertility, and are also involved in the ritual practices necessary to invoke dynamism and vitality into a site.
